VM8 and VM8 Pro Swim Spas

Unlike traditional hot tubs, swim spas have jets that create a current you can use to exercise and strengthen your muscles. They can also help soothe sore joints and relieve pain from injury.

These pools can be installed in custom decks or left as freestanding units. They also come with a variety of shell and cabinet color options to match your backyard.

The VM8

The VM8 is a leading backyard swim spa on the market and boasts an impressive size at 61” deep and 25’ long. Unlike most backyard swim spas, this model combines a hot tub and swim spa in one. This makes it a great choice for those who want to exercise and relax at the same time. It also features a luxurious lounge and bench seating, luxury leg lighting, waterfalls, and Turbo Swim jets.

Depending on your preferences, you can adjust the swim resistance with the touch of a button. You can also enjoy the soothing Hydro-Massage jets that are strategically placed to relieve tension and help you relax after a hard workout.

This swim spa has a sleek, modern design with a 4in full-color touchscreen display that lets you easily switch between settings. The swim spa also comes with PRO Swim Spas a thermal blanket, pool vacuum, and water testing kits to keep your water safe and healthy.

When shopping for a swim spa, it’s important to create a checklist of specifications and features that are important to you. This will help you avoid getting caught up in aEURdeal of the dayaEUR(tm) promotions and making a purchase that isn’t right for you. It will also help you make an educated decision that will last a lifetime. If you’re not sure where to start, talk with a sales professional about your options.

The Challenger Pro

The Challenger Pro is an 18-foot swim spa dedicated to optimum performance with three dedicated swim pumps and two variable speed motors, so you can set your pace. Combined with therapy seating and temperature control, the Challenger provides strong currents and excellent visibility for a great workout or recovery session in the comfort of your own home. The Challenger includes the advanced EcoPur water filtration system with UV and ozonation technologies to provide the cleanest, crystal-clear spa water on the market – without harsh chemicals or salt.

The Challenger’s keypad features five programmable keys vertically set on the left side and five more horizontally placed on the right upper corner along with multimedia keys and a button to cycle through multiple user profiles (which you can create up to four of). A hand cooling fan is also attached to either of the upper corners via a detachable USB cable plug.

The Athena

A popular choice among our customers, this model combines a swim and hot tub area with plenty of seating. It also has a pre-installed set of stainless steel jets that you can choose from when customizing the spa online through Master Spa’s site. This is a great option for those who want the fitness, rehabilitation, and relaxation benefits of a swim spa but don’t have room in their backyards for a large pool.

The main drawback to this product is that it’s a little more expensive than some of our other models due to its premium features and brand. However, you’re getting a quality product from a company that prioritizes its customers and its products.

When buying a swim spa, be sure to create a checklist of specifications and features you want. This will help you avoid getting caught up in a deal of the day and being pressured into making a purchase that doesn’t suit your needs. If you’re shopping at a home show or parking lot sale, be sure to visit the seller’s brick-and-mortar store and speak with their sales representatives.

Be sure to ask for a wet test, and take note of the swim spa’s return flow design. Masterspas, as well as many other brands, have a PRO Swim Spas tendency to push downward force on your feet during swimming due to their jet system designs. This can be uncomfortable and reduce your overall enjoyment of the spa.

The Thermals

Since the post-punk trio from pre-Portlandia exploded onto the international indie scene with More Parts Per Million (Sub Pop), a lot has changed. Three different presidents have occupied the White House; Arrested Development premiered, was cancelled and resurrected; Twilight spawned books, movies and a whole franchise of vampire merch. And, of course, The Thermals broke up.

In 2013 the band came out with Desperate Ground, a scrappy return-to-form record that is perfect bookend to their first — and so far best — decade. The same year Sub Pop reissued their sophomore LP, the critically-acclaimed Fuckin’ A, produced by Death Cab For Cutie’s Chris Walla.

The band’s last — and therefore obviously best — LP, We Disappear, was released on Saddle Creek Records. A huge leap forward in terms of sound and scope, The Body, the Blood, the Machine tells a sprawling tale of unchecked power commingling with religious persecution.

The dual zone SX219s features side entry steps and a sculpted massage seat in the fitness zone, an open barrier-free 118” swim spa zone, two RX6 standing therapy jets and five comfortable massage seats in the hot tub zone. Its beautifully designed control panel offers a worry free interface and a breathtakingly clear display. It is available with an optional mobile app system that allows full function monitoring and diagnostics from any location.
